This Middle Eastern Avocado Oil Dip Is Your Cheat For Easy Hosting

If I have twenty minutes before people arrive, this Middle Eastern avocado oil dip is usually the first thing I make. You may not believe this, though one of the most impressive things I have ever placed in the middle of the table took less than five minutes of active work. It was this Middle Eastern avocado oil dip.

It has a funny habit of convincing people that I spent an entire afternoon in the kitchen. Someone always asks how long I slowly cooked the garlic. Another reaches for the toasted pine nuts before asking what the fragrant oil is made from. By then the pita has already made its way around the table once, and little streaks of tahini and harissa have disappeared into pieces of bread.
