25 Labor Day Recipes for the Cookout You Still Haven’t Planned

If you just realized Labor Day is here and you still haven’t figured out what you’re making, welcome to the club. I’ve had plenty of cookouts that started with a vague plan and ended with me pulling together whatever would do to feed everyone.

The good news is that Labor Day food doesn’t need to be complicated. A few reliable mains, easy sides, something to snack on, and a dessert or two can turn an unplanned afternoon into a table full of food. These are the recipes I’d reach for when the cookout is happening, whether I’m ready or not.
